
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a nationally reptesented non-profit NGO with more than 50000 members, registered in its Trade Register. The Chamber System of 28 Regional Chambers is covering the whole business territory of the country. The Chamber is a member of many prestigious international and European organisations – ILO, WTCA, ICC, Eurochambers, ABC, CEFTA, ABSZ CCI, BSEC BC, SECI, CEI, EEN, GS!, etc.
The BCCI provides a wide range of business services targeted predominantly to SMEs. The Arbitration Court, the Mediation Centre, the National Vocational Training Centre, the Quality Management Centre, the GS1 Centre, the Publishing House “Vezni” are structures of the BCCI widening the scope of services, provided by the Chamber and are also in service of the medium and small business. The BCCI is a host structure of Sofia Enterprise Europe Network Centre.
The Chamber is very active in preparing position papers on all the legislative and political issues, concerning the activities of the business community and is one of the Economic and Social Partners, participating in the tripartite dialogue.
In its capacity of an employer organization it is acting as an intermediary between the SMEs and the public authorities and as a representative and speaker of the Bulgaian business in the various national consulting bodies, defending the interests of its members and of the national business as a whole.
