The project Air Trans was started in General Linguistic Communication Company with the vision of creating a powerful range of high technology devices to be used by contemporary consumers in studying and using foreign languages. The development team consisted of highly qualified experts of various professional backgrounds. The aim was to devise a base model of a universal, precise and commonly available device to be used by a wide range of consumers worldwide.
After testing different technical solution a prototype was created and offered at the international technical trade fair in Plovdiv, attended by more than 6000 companies with a vast majority of companies from the EU. Air Trans proved to be the indisputable hit of the fair, and was included in the official presentation program. It was also the product with the strongest media coverage. AirTrans is a high-tech microprocessor device which translates texts (words and phrases) automatically from one language to another. It could be used by anyone, aged over 4 years. The SOURCE languages could use both the Latin and the Cyrillic alphabets, while the target language could be any existing world language. Its unique action mode POINT AND TRANSLATE, ONE-MOVE TRANSLATION, directly through the air (2 centimetres away from the text) guarantees its usage is the most convenient and easy one possible; the process of photographing immovable graphical objects assures the most precise graphical information and thus the most secure translation.
The distraction, quick fatigue and boredom caused by using the traditional dictionaries, which are the main barriers in reading texts and learning foreign languages, are abolished for good. The possibility of learning several languages simultaneously which this High-End product assures real Success On Demand. It can translate printed text as well eBooks, tablets, and last generation smart phones, in other words it is a One-for-All device.
In the beginning of 2009 the device was launched on the domestic market and has had successful sales ever since. The version on offer is with translation from 7 to 15 languages.
The project amount ranges from 500,000 EUR to 1,000 000 EUR depending on certain arrangements.
