HRD Programme supports:

Competitiveness OP supports:

• Development of knowledge-based economy and innovative activities;

• Strengthening the international market positions of Bulgarian economy.

Regional Development OP supports a range of interventions that contribute to:

• The competitiveness of cities and urban functional areas;
• Developing infrastructure related to transport, communication, information and gas networks;
• Sustaining the regional tourism potential and developing market diversified, territorially specific and higher value-added tourist products,
• Enabling local/ municipal development and cooperation.

OP Transport supports building of railway, road and waterway infrastructure, development of mixed transport in accordance with the transport policy of the European Union and the Trans-European transport network in order to achieve stability of the Bulgarian transport system. Specific feature of the OPT is the preliminary selection of particular Beneficiaries of the projects and advanced prioritization of an indicative list of infrastructure projects envisaged for financing under the programme

OP Environment supports:

• Improvement and development of water and wastewater infrastructure in settlements with over 2000 PE and in settlements below 2000 PE within urban agglomeration areas;
• Improvement and development of waste treatment infrastructure;
• Preservation and restoration of biodiversity.

OP Administrative Capacity is aimed at strengthening the capacities at all levels of administration, structures of civil society and the judiciary system.

OP Technical Assistance is a horizontal programme which supports the Technical Assistance priorities under the other 6 Operational Programmes in Bulgaria. The programme has concrete beneficiaries, which publish on their websites opportunities for sub-contracting and participation in tender procedures.

• Up-grading technologies, investments to improve agricultural factors of production, introducing modern land and water management practices;
• Promoting innovation in the agri-food chain for production of new high value added products and technologies;
• Achieving EU standards;
• Diversification within agriculture;
